Three meals a day? That’s normal. But not anymore, if we don’t watch our steps. The world population is growing and we have to feed 9 billion people within only a few decades. That’s 9.000.0000.000 mouths. Three times a day. Good luck.
The food issue, what to do about it?
With a growing population and a huge pressure on food production considering the climate, we’re in the middle of a big challenge. You could call it a race against the clock and the temperature. We have to change the way we produce, share and consume food. And realistically, the worldwide biggest source of protein is still meat. And we better produce that as responsibly as possible.
This organization is committed to delivering sustainable products and services, focusing on achieving the best results towards animal health and farm productivity. With their 100+ years of experience in animal nutrition, they put innovation higher than ever on their agenda. First, it was only focused on animal farming, but now they’re busy with all kinds of protein production: from plant-based to meat developed from animal cells and protein through fermentation.
Interesting! What do they need me for?
Ah their Data Engineer, you’re the one who is responsible for understanding the scope of required functionalities and translating them into developed solutions. The plans you create are based on assigned sprint tasks and you will be engaged in projects where you participate in the roll-out of their ERP Template. Thanks to you, integrations to local systems work.
And this is something I can do?
With your bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business and your Microsoft certification AZ-400, you’re off to a good start. Experience with Azure and Azure Integration Services and/or DevOps helps, as well and you have working experience in multiple development environments and languages like .NET, C#, API and REST. So when you read the job description, you don’t doubt your skills and instantly see that you can do it.
And what do they have to offer me?
If we say they treat you like animals, that’s actually a compliment, considering their love for quality in animal care. But since that has a negative association and the fact that you’re a hum being, you obviously get rewarded like one. With a salary of up to €80.000 a year in a full-time position and 30 vacation days, there’s not much to complain about. A good pension scheme is included and the flexible work environment makes it possible to work (partly) from home. So why the doubt? Just apply and we tell you all the details.
