Things are getting infinitely more complex every day. We’re better connected than ever and gathering more data than we can process. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make us more productive or successful. With all these opportunities it’s hard not to get distracted.
But this company is on a mission. A mission to unleash the power of information. They create solutions that give large organizations the chance to respond to their customer’s ever-changing needs.
That’s impressive, but how?
They create a streaming platform on the world’s most well-known core: Apaches’ Kafka. They give the tools and services so their clients can sit back and see their plans come together. Clients in several industries are serviced ranging from Finance to Logistics and the Energy industry but they are always looking to serve more companies. With their real-time data solutions, they offer a unique concept in a user-friendly way, which adds value every day.
Does this sound like your kind of company? Good, because they’re looking for a Platform Administrator.
What will I be doing as a Platform Administrator here?
Your job consists of monitoring, managing and operating the fast data platform. You make sure that performance is optimal at all times and make sure that all the required metrics on the platform and related applications are gathered and easily accessible. Before the customer even noticed a problem, you’ve already fixed it. Improvements on the system and platform are your job, both in on-premises and cloud environments.
Are you sure I have the right skill set?
Of course, you do. You’re an experienced Platform Administrator after all. Your problem-solving and communication skills are excellent, but that does not make you unique. Your willingness to keep a platform up and running in the best possible way does. To achieve this, you use your knowledge of Apache Kafka and experience in the maintenance of mission-critical software. Got any experience with managing containers on Docker and/or Kubernetes? That’s even better. Anyway, you will know your way around in a flash.
That sounds like me but I’d like to know what I get in return
We’ll start with a competitive salary depending on your experience but ranging up to €70.000 gross a year. It doesn’t stop there, though. They also offer excellent secondary benefits, including a solid pension, a workplace where the sense of humour is second to none, an NS Business Card, Compensation to set up your home office, and last but definitely not least: flexible working hours and working from wherever suits you best. Everything is taken care of so you can be busy with what you do best.
