The days where a product simply went from producer to store and from store to consumer are long gone. These days the average supply chain looks more like a knot than a chain, which is exactly why this platform is so desperately needed.
The process starts with collecting the data. With the help of sensors and clever integrations with inventory management systems, the platform gains insight into the entire chain. Which products are stored where? What is the average turnover rate for different products or locations? The built-in algorithms can predict exactly which product is needed where and when. That way, companies are always able to deliver as quickly as possible without the need for excessive storage or unnecessary transport. Quick, reliable, efficient.

The platform was developed by a small team of about 6 people, mostly developers. This is a start-up, after all. The product has been proven and they have trouble keeping up with demand, so there is a lot of work to be done. Especially, on the front-end.
That’s why, as Senior Front-end Developer, it will be up to you to design and build the entire UI from scratch. From designing the architecture of the front-end and choosing the right toolkit, to translating UI-designs and Wireframes into real solutions. Besides that, it’s important to occasionally take a look behind the screens to help figure out what best to do with all that data.
Am I ready for this?
You’re the best judge of whether or not you’re ready to take on this challenge. Because you know even better than we do that the number of years of experience you have has very little to do with how good you really are. It goes without saying that you’ll need a background in computer science and several years of development experience. Besides solid JavaScript skills and extensive knowledge of React, a good feel for UI/UX will also certainly come in handy. Still, the most important thing is that you feel you’re ready for the next step. Because the next step is probably Lead or Architect.
